Every now and then you come across something that seems to captivate your attention. Maybe it’s a book or a piece of music. Maybe it’s an old car or the way a particular tree has grown in the wild. I could be anything really. To everyone else, it may be just a <insert whatever it is>, but for some unknown reason, something about it that resonates with you.
On New Year’s Eve, while we were visting some friends, I noticed this picture hanging on the wall in the garage. Our friend, Lori, had found it sitting by a curb somewhere and picked it up. I had commented about and just recently she and her husband Bob had brought it over as gift.
I know that this oil painting probably has no value. In fact, technically it may not even be any good — I wouldn’t even know what constitutes a good piece of art. Here’s what I do know, that there is something about this picture that has captured my interest. For some reason, I get this weird sense of deja vu when I look at it. It’s like I’ve seen it before or maybe I’ve seen this location before.
Anyway, I’m interested to know if anyone recognizes this image. If you know it to be a copy of a famous painting or perhaps recognize the approximate location of the image, I’d appreciate it if you could drop me a comment. I’m interested in revealing this sense of deja vu.
